Sunshine, blue sky, and laughter filled the air. On Saturday, September 9, 2017, over 300 children, adults, family members, and staff attended CSAAC’s annual picnic making this the biggest turnout in CSAAC’s history! Each year, CSAAC’s Employee Engagement Committee plans, organizes and hosts the event which is held at the Community School of Maryland in Brookeville, MD. Flags from all over the world were displayed to recognize CSAAC’s rich cultural diversity. Students and families from the Intensive Early Intervention (IEI) program kicked things off with children’s activities, including arts and crafts, and interactive games.

The food choices were in abundant…a tasty barbecue was prepared, fresh pizzas delivered and this year a new flair of food – Jamaican cuisine was added. There was even an ice-cream truck serving frozen dessert treats! The awesome DJ played songs from children’s tunes for the little ones to top 40 standards for the adults in attendance and thoroughly entertained the crowd. Gift cards were raffled off, certificates awarded to outstanding employees and participants played a CSAAC trivia for additional prizes. Great day for the entire CSAAC family!
