Why Support CSAAC?

CSAAC, has been serving children and adults with autism in Maryland since 1979.  Due to the nature of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs), many individuals we serve require lifelong assistance.  Many children and adults we support require assistance to perform basic daily living tasks, such as dressing, preparing a meal, or participating in a recreational activity.  CSAAC works with children and adults with autism using the best practices available, centering around encouraging communication and providing positive behavioral support.

CSAAC is primarily funded by the State of Maryland and local counties.  However, this funding provides only the basic necessities for the individuals supported.  In order to be able to offer additional therapies, recreation, and extraordinary, life-enriching, community-based learning, CSAAC relies on private donations.  We also rely on private contributions of computers and vehicles in good working order.

To support CSAAC, CSAAC Foundation was established in 1996, and is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  CSAAC Foundation’s mission is to raise CSAAC’s visibility in the community and seek private support on behalf of CSAAC.
