Community School of Maryland

Empowering students with autism through individualized education, evidence-based instruction, and a nurturing environment

Community School of Maryland

About the School

The Community School of Maryland provides a dynamic and nurturing environment where students with autism learn, grow, and thrive. Each student receives an Individualized Education Program (IEP) designed around their unique strengths, goals, and learning style.

Our teachers, therapists, and behavior analysts use evidence-based instruction grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support each student’s academic progress, social development, and independence. Collaboration with families is central to our approach, ensuring that learning extends beyond the classroom and into everyday life.

Family Collaboration

Family collaboration at CSAAC event

Family involvement is key to each child’s success. Our staff communicates regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, celebrate achievements, and plan next steps. Together, we create a consistent and supportive environment that helps students apply what they learn in school to home and community life.
