Hogares seguros y acogedores en la comunidad que promueven la independencia, la inclusión y una vida plena.

CSAAC’s Residential Services provide individuals with autism the opportunity to live with dignity, stability, and community connection. Our homes across Montgomery County offer safe, supportive environments where each individual can grow, make choices, and live as independently as possible.

A Home That Supports Growth and Independence

Residential Services

Every CSAAC home is designed to provide a warm, welcoming environment tailored to the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each individual. Our residences offer stability, personalized support, and opportunities to build meaningful relationships, develop essential daily living skills, and actively participate in community life.

Our highly trained staff provide 24-hour support focused on daily living skills, communication, health and wellness, self-determination, and community engagement. Support plans are individualized and developed in collaboration with each individual, their family, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure services reflect the person’s strengths, interests, and aspirations.

Individuals are encouraged to participate in everyday household activities such as preparing meals, managing personal care, organizing their living spaces, shopping, and sharing household responsibilities. These experiences foster independence, self-confidence, decision-making skills, and a strong sense of belonging.

Our Approach

Beyond the home, individuals are supported in exploring recreational interests, volunteering, attending community events, building friendships, and accessing resources that enhance their quality of life. Whether learning a new skill, discovering a personal passion, or strengthening community connections, each individual receives the support they need to make progress toward their goals at their own pace.

At CSAAC, Residential Services are about much more than providing a place to live. They create opportunities for individuals with autism to live with dignity, exercise choice, build meaningful relationships, and lead full, independent, and self-directed lives.

Connected Programs

A Continuum of Support and Opportunity

CSAAC’s continuum of services supports individuals with autism through every stage of life, providing person-centered services that grow and evolve alongside their needs, goals, and aspirations.

  • School-age students receive specialized education and behavioral support at the Community School of Maryland.
  • Adults participate in Meaningful Day and Vocational Services, where they develop life and employment skills, engage in their communities, and explore meaningful employment opportunities.
  • Residential Services are seamlessly integrated with these programs, providing continuity, stability, and person-centered support throughout every stage of life.

The coordination across CSAAC’s programs helps ensure smooth transitions as individuals’ needs and goals evolve. Many students who graduate from the Community School of Maryland continue receiving services through CSAAC’s adult programs, reflecting our commitment to providing lifelong opportunities for growth, independence, and community participation.

Every Home Reflects Our Commitment
